Air 3s very near…What I love about it.
I’ll be so disappointed if they don’t give both lenses a 1-inch 20MP sensor.

I was disappointed when the Air 3 had 1/1.3-inch sensors. The Air 2S had such a great sensor, probably one of DJI’s best drones. I hope the Air 3S lives up to the Air 2S.

My Air 3 has been amazing! I’m a sucker for new tech, though, so I’m curious what the 3S will bring.

He wasn’t saying the Air 3 is bad, just that the Air 2S was better due to the larger sensor. Bigger sensors tend to have better image quality.

Not necessarily. Both the Air 3 and Air 2S have a 2.4um pixel pitch, but the Air 3 has a much wider aperture, making it better in low light. The Air 3 can also shoot 48MP, which gives it an edge in good light too. The Air 2S can’t compete with the Air 3’s 3x camera either.

The Air 2S is still the best consumer drone DJI has made. All I need is a variable aperture, and it would be perfect.

I own both the Air 3 and Air 2S, and I have to say the Air 3 has far better image quality and color accuracy.

Sensor size isn’t everything. Lens quality also matters a lot.

True, but a 12MP sensor just doesn’t offer the detail we need today. At least 20MP should be the standard.
Looks like DJI is pushing out drones quickly before any potential U.S. ban.
I just got the Air 3, and I’m so happy with it. I don’t even know what more I could want from the 3S!

Agreed. It’s hard to imagine topping the Air 3.
Could this be a Mavic 4 release instead?

Doubtful. Leaks show an Air 3S coming, and we haven’t seen anything about a Mavic 4 yet.
Any idea how much it will cost?

I’m guessing around $1,500 USD. What do you think?

If it’s more advanced than the Air 3, I think it could be closer to $1,700.

It might be time to upgrade my trusty Air 2S.

Do you think this could be the last DJI drone approved for sale in the U.S. if a ban happens?
