Another Customs Question

Those of you who ordered your drone directly from DJI and had an issue with customs, did they ever eventually let it through or is it basically guaranteed to get rejected?

I ordered a mini 4 Pro from DJI on 3/9. I cancelled the next day after I read about them being held at customs. I then ordered it from Costco the same day. DJI reached out to me and said they didn’t catch it in time and I may have to return it. It made it through and was scheduled to be delivered today. FedEx notified me today that it is in Ontario California (5 miles from me at the airport) but the package delivery was canceled by DJI. So it made it through customs rather quickly. Hopefully the other one comes from Costco today as well. :crossed_fingers:t2:

Haven’t seen any success stories from Oakland yet. My Flip FMC been at Oakland since 3/4. DJI told me to wait by the weekend. So come Monday if no movement I’ll be refunding. I hope they refund my DJI Care Refresh too since I just noticed that says Non-Refundable.

@Sawyer
I spoke to a FedEx worker on the phone today and she was like, ‘Oh, it’s a drone? Yeah, those aren’t getting through right now.’ Already started a return back to DJI and ordered one off Adorama. Goddamn customs.

@Donna
I just did the same via chat and canceled and refunded. Did you get email confirmation? If so, how long did it take? Thanks. I’ll be waiting for my funds back before I reorder, just in case.

I did the same; began the refund process through DJI’s support chat but no confirmation yet. It’ll probably be at least a few more days before DJI receives the return and gives me my refund. I’ve already waited almost two weeks trying to get my first drone, so I just went ahead and ordered through Adorama. This is a precarious time to be getting into the hobby, I guess!

The last 2 DJI drones I ordered (through Amazon) that were fulfilled by DJI were rejected by customs and returned to DJI. I finally found a Canadian company that had the drone I wanted in stock, and it made it through customs there.
