Anyone flown a drone in cold weather before…? Need advice

I’ve flown in rain too. No big deal.

It’s risky, though. Drones are water-resistant, but there’s a limit. You can even get little rain covers for them, but it’s not ideal.

Use an igloo cooler with foam to keep your batteries warm while traveling. Also, let your drone and batteries adjust to the cold before and after flights. Be mindful of propeller icing and moisture in the air, especially at higher altitudes.

Try reaching out to PhantomRain. They deal with rough weather flying all the time.

I’m in Alberta too, and I just started flying. The batteries get pretty warm after a flight, so I’m thinking it should be okay at around -20°C, but I wouldn’t go colder than that.
