Anyone here using the Mavic 3? How does it fly?

I’m thinking about getting the Mavic 3, but I want to hear from people who have used it. How does it perform? Is it worth the price? Any advice would be great!

Mavic 3 Pro user here. It’s amazing! Handles really well, even in strong winds. Though, I wouldn’t recommend testing it underwater :joy:.

Haha, maybe we should add a new drone to the list:

  • Mavic 3
  • Mavic 3 Classic
  • Mavic 3 Pro
  • Mavic 3 Submarine :laughing:

@Keegan
Mavic 3 Titan! Sounds cooler right?

And imagine using your own custom controller with it!

Honestly, they should make a waterproof version. Might not be as fast or have the same features, but a lot of people would buy it just in case. I know a guy who lost his Mavic 3 Pro in the ocean after it malfunctioned mid-flight. Sad times.

I’m using the Mavic 3E. It’s an absolute beast for work. The battery life is fantastic, the camera quality is top-notch, and it’s super easy to use. The bigger frame handles wind without any issues, and linking it to a base station for precise tasks is really simple. It stores all flight data in the DCIM folder too.

@Shai
Totally agree. The M3E is a workhorse, especially for photogrammetry. Plus, it’s a good deal for what you get.

I’m guessing a lot of people here use the Air 3. Just check out some YouTube videos if you want to know more about how it performs.

I think you mixed it up. The question is about the Mavic 3, not the Air 3 :smile:.

@Kellan
Oops, my bad! But honestly, my advice still applies. There are tons of videos out there that can show you exactly how it flies :smile:.

Haha, very true. I wonder why people ask these things here when there’s already so much info online.

@Kellan
It’s like people don’t want to do even a little bit of research anymore. 99% of the questions in this forum could be answered with a quick search on Google or YouTube. I guess they just want confirmation from others.

@Zade
Yeah, people probably prefer to get filtered info from others instead of going through tons of reviews. When it’s about buying gadgets, the amount of conflicting opinions can be overwhelming.

I’m curious to see how many people are actually buying each DJI model. The Mavic series might not be the top choice anymore since the Mini and Air series cater to most non-professional users.

I’ve got both the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Pro with the RC Pro controller, and they are hands down the best drones I’ve used. I also have the Autel Evo Lite Plus and the Air 2S, which are great too, but the Mavic Pro’s camera is on another level. The range is insane, and the build quality is top-notch. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be upgrading to the Mavic 4. If you’re thinking about buying the Mavic 3 Pro, just go for it—you won’t regret it.

Yep, using it and loving it.

I want to buy it, but the lack of SDK support is a dealbreaker for me. DJI’s basically saying, ‘We don’t want your money,’ by not including the Mavic 3 Pro in their SDK support.

The Mavic 3 is a beast. The camera resolution, dynamic range, and flight performance are unreal.

It’s the best DJI drone I’ve owned. I don’t even need any other drones, this one does it all.
