Anyone know how to fix this? My controller's acting up

My controller started having this issue a while ago, but it wasn’t too bad then. I could just hit ‘close app’ and it would reopen without any problems. But since yesterday, selecting ‘close app’ or ‘wait’ doesn’t help at all. Any advice?

Maybe try a factory reset? Sounds like a software issue with the controller.

I bought it just over a year ago, so I think the warranty’s probably expired.

No, I just started using it again recently. Thought it was broken, but it worked fine until now. Haven’t touched it since June.
