Is it just me, or has there been a big spike in people reporting sudden drone crashes? Feels like every day there’s another post about a drone randomly falling out of the sky.
I don’t remember seeing this many cases last year.
So what do you guys think—is DJI quality dropping, or is it just an influx of new pilots making mistakes? Honestly, I’m getting nervous about flying my Mini 4 with all these reports lately.
I’ve been flying my Air 3 with zero issues. I keep it within visual line of sight, and guess what? That solves 90% of the problems—crashes, bird attacks, signal loss, all of it.

Never crashed my Air 3. Even got attacked by a bird once, and it still managed to recover on its own.
It’s all about skill. Most people just don’t have it.
Same here. I actually try to capture good footage of birds but always respect their space.
Pro tip: If a bird is coming after your drone, don’t try to outrun it or drop lower. Climb up instead! Birds are crazy fast in a dive, but climbing takes way more effort for them.
