Can I give my DJI Care Refresh to the new owner?

I got my Avata 2 last November and have been flying it ever since. I also bought Care Refresh for two years, but I haven’t needed to use it at all.

Now I’m thinking about selling the drone. Can the Care Refresh be transferred to the person who buys it?

Yes, it stays with the drone no matter who owns it.

Just make sure to give the buyer the Care Refresh details for their records. Also, unbind the drone from your DJI account (you can do this in the DJI Fly app under your profile). They can double-check with DJI support if they want by giving them the drone’s serial number and Care Refresh info.

I’ve sold DJI gear before and checked with them about this—it’s all good.

@Frey
Appreciate it!! :slight_smile:

How much are you selling it for?

Haven’t decided yet. I’m thinking of selling the drone with the motion controller, three batteries, and the charger.

The drone is actually brand new—DJI replaced my old one under warranty (not Care Refresh).

@Parker
Not the same person, but if you’re open to shipping, let me know!

Yeah, you can transfer it. Just unbind the drone and controller from your account first. Also, remind the buyer they’ll need to register the drone and get their own pilot certificate, so they don’t end up flying under your name.

Yep, the Care Refresh follows the drone, not the owner.

Do the prop guards change how it flies in manual mode?

I’ve noticed some prop wash when making quick moves and yaw tumbles, but that happens with the Avata 2 in general. I don’t think it’s the guards causing it.

@Parker
Are you using the default rates? I know Avatas have their limits, but I was wondering if the guards make it worse for prop wash and tumbling.
