Can you charge a DJI Mini 2 SE with an iPhone USB-C charger?

So I have an iPhone 15 that charges with USB-C, same as my Mini 2 SE drone. I’ve been using an old charging block for my drone, and it takes forever to charge. I tried using my Apple USB-C charger, and it seems to work, but I wanted to ask if it’s safe to use it or if charging with a phone charger might hurt the battery life?

Yeah, it’s normal for it to charge super slow if you’re charging the battery while it’s still in the drone.

It depends on what kind of charger you’re using. Even with a fast charger, if it’s 20W, it’s still gonna be slow.

Oops, I was thinking about the Mini 2’s specs. The Mini 2 SE can take up to 29W, so a better charger could help.

Jumping in here, I’ve also got a Mini 2 SE. What kind of charger should I get for the fly more charger case since they don’t really come with USB bricks anymore? I’ve been using an old iPhone brick too.

Hey there! Using a phone charger with your drone can work, but it’s not ideal. Phone chargers are made for phones, so they might not be perfect for drones. It might charge, but could stress the battery and affect its life over time. It’s best to use the proper charger made for the drone.

What kind of response is this?

USB-C is smart enough to give only the power the device asks for. My phone charger works fine for my laptop and drone.

Yes, it works, just not at full speed. Here’s a breakdown:

Drone charges at 29W, iPhone charges at 27W, and Apple’s charger is 20W. So with the Apple 20W charger, you’ll get the max speed for charging the drone. If you use the fly more charging case, you’ll want a 36W or higher charger from a good brand (like Anker) for faster charging, and it’ll also charge your phone quicker.

Wouldn’t charging slower be better for battery life? I’ve heard that fast charging can wear out batteries faster.
