Can't install DJI app at work… Any good alternatives?

If your job wants to control your phone, they should buy you one. Never use a work phone for personal stuff—assume they can see everything you do.

I wish they’d think like that, but nope. We’re a massive company with 150,000 employees, and they don’t want to spend money on work phones. So, they just force us to follow security rules on our own devices.

@Zayden
Couldn’t you just refuse to put work stuff on your phone and only use your laptop?

Just get an old phone or tablet and use that. If you need an internet connection, you can just use your phone’s hotspot.

Buy a cheap used iPhone or even a prepaid one.

Just quit lol

Go to a store like Dollar General and grab one of those prepaid Moto G phones. Use that as your drone phone.

Why not just buy a cheap smartphone?

If you don’t want to use your phone, you can buy the DJI RC1 or RC2 controller for around $300. It has a built-in screen, so you don’t need the DJI app on your phone anymore.

I had the same issue. My workaround was turning off my work profile, enabling USB debugging, and side-loading the app with ADB. Once it’s installed, I turn my work profile back on.

If your work is actively blocking the DJI app, though, this might not work.

@Fintan
I’ll give it a shot!
