After purchasing my drone from abroad through a friend of mine, I brought the mini 4 Pro into India. After few wavy flights the past week in normal mode, I wanted to test out the sports mode.
And this happened!! I flew into a transmission line and the drone fell into a paddy field half immersed in water. I haven’t turned it on yet.
From here, what do I need to do to fix the broken arm and how do you drain out the remaining water (it’s almost dry now)
FYI …there is no authorised dji drone care in India and neither do I have a dji care refresh.
Hope you guys would help me out!! Thanks in advance!!
Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a way to fix it. Mini drones are really light and super fragile. That mechanism would be tough to replace since DJI is not officially available in India. Try to find a replacement arm online. You might have to do some DIY and figure out how to ship it to India.
Lessons learned. Going forward, keep line of sight and avoid cables and trees. The avoidance system struggles with small obstacles like cables and bare branches. Sorry about your loss. Best of luck with the repairs. Maybe send it to DJI or find a local DIY repair.
Don’t turn it on, just place it outside in the sun to dry. Try to find a local repair shop or send it to DJI as is. They will test it before giving you a quote. If it doesn’t turn on for them, they’ll have made sure everything was done right first.
Are there local repair centers that can repair DJIs? There should be since DJI isn’t official. Otherwise, you’ll need to carefully take it apart and let it dry. Remember that arms are sold separately, so they can be replaced.
I’m in India too. There are third-party DJI service centers you can contact. Xboom, Airytek, and HobiTech are your best bets. I bought my Air 3S from Airytek, and they cover me with their warranty. They’ll take care of repairs.

Thank you… I’ll reach out. By the way, where are they located?
Airytek can handle minor work in BLR, but a major repair like yours would be sent to Kerala. Contact them, show them pictures, get quotes, and compare. Choose whoever seems more professional and responsive.
