Does the Avata 2 have RockSteady stabilization while you’re flying? Is the view through the goggles as smooth as the videos or does that only happen after editing? I’m thinking of buying one.
It’s super steady both in the goggles and in the final footage. We love ours—it’s a really capable FPV drone. The best part is once you have the goggles and controllers, you can get another plug-and-play (PnP) FPV drone later. We have a GEPRC Vapor X6 too. Check out our YouTube channel if you want to see some amateur flying .

What’s a PnP? Is that for custom builds?

PnP means if the FPV drone comes with a DJI O3 or O4 unit, it’ll connect directly to your DJI goggles and controller without needing an extra receiver.
@Cade
What’s an O3/O4 unit? Sorry, I’m kinda lost here.

It’s DJI’s camera and receiver system that custom drones use. If you search ‘DJI O4’ you’ll see what I mean. The Avata 2 has one built in, but with third-party drones, they install the unit so it’ll work with DJI goggles and controllers.
@Cade
Ohhh, got it… thanks!
@Cade
Would you recommend a third-party drone over the Avata 2?
@Cade
Sorry, I’m still confused.
It does have stabilization, but I wouldn’t buy one. I sold mine.

What would you recommend instead? I really want to get into FPV.

It does work well, and I’d recommend buying one.

Not trying to get downvoted here since everyone in this forum loves DJI, but check out some custom FPV builds instead.
