DJI for the win … finally enjoying drones

Last year, I made the mistake of buying a Holy Stone drone. It was horrible—like flying a brick. It wouldn’t stay still, the controls were awful, and the pictures/videos looked terrible. It really ruined the experience for me.

Last weekend, I decided to give drones another shot and got the DJI Mini 4K because it fit my budget and seemed like a good beginner drone. Wow, what a difference! It flies so smoothly, the controls are precise, and the camera is incredible. It feels like I’m fully in control, and I’m finally having fun with drones.

I should’ve gone with DJI from the start since I already have their Action 4 camera, which is amazing. But better late than never! I just had my first flight today, and I loved every moment of it. :blush:

Welcome to the DJI family! You won’t regret it.

Thanks so much! It already feels like the right choice. :blush:

I’ll never buy anything besides DJI now. The Mini 4K is insane for the price!

Agreed, it’s amazing value. Also, cool username! :joy:

I wasted so much money on cheap drones before I got the Mini 4K. It’s a whole different world—great control and camera quality. Such an awesome little machine!

Right?! It’s so smooth and responsive. The Holy Stone was just a nightmare. How long have you had your Mini 4K?

@Chen
About three months now. It’s been super reliable. I’d recommend getting extra propellers, though. They take a bit of wear over time.

If you’re in the U.S., make sure to take the TRUST test. It’s easy and ensures you know the basic rules for flying recreationally.

Thanks for the tip! I’m in the UK, though. I already have an Operator ID and a flyer registration for my previous drone, so I’m good to go.

I went all in with the Mini 4 Pro. The night shots are just stunning. :heart:

I was tempted by that one, but it was a bit out of my price range. Maybe someday!

Congrats! I got mine during Black Friday. It’s so compact—it fits in my small tech pouch, so I bring it everywhere.

Thanks! I go camping a lot, so I wanted something portable to capture amazing views. This drone is perfect for that.

The Mini 4K is great, but the controller only works with the Mini 4K, which sucks. I lost mine in the woods due to user error and geofencing issues. :cry:

I was hoping to get a controller with a built-in screen, but I’m happy with the Mini 4K for now. Sorry to hear about your loss. That’s rough.

@Chen
It happens. The Mini 3 is my next try. Have you noticed any geofencing issues?

Still rocking my Mavic Pro Platinum. It’s old, but it works great!

I started with the Mini 2 back in the day. It broke, but DJI is still the best out there.

The Mini 4K is better than the Neo in so many ways.
