Does every drone really need its own controller?

I bought the DJI Neo Fly More Combo with the RC-N3 controller. I’m thinking of adding another drone to my collection, but DJI doesn’t seem to sell drones on their own. Do I really need to buy a new controller with every drone?

You can use one controller, but you’d have to unbind it from one drone and bind it to the other every time you switch.

The RC-N3 works with DJI Air 3, Air 3s, Mini 4 Pro, and Neo. You should be good with those.

Yeah, but I want to buy just the drone itself. It doesn’t look like that’s even an option on their website.

I’ve seen the option to buy just the drone on their site before. I think when a drone is newly released, they only sell it in combos at first. Maybe the standalone drones are just sold out?

I don’t have the N3, but with my RC2 and Goggles 3, I’ve got multiple drones connected. I just pick the right model in the Fly app, and it works fine. I assume it’s similar with your setup, but I’m not 100% sure.
