Drone found stuck in firefighting plane, what model do you think it is?

drone parts recovered from inside the wing of firefighting aircraft, images from KCAL report on TV this evening. What model you think?

The serial number might be on one of the larger grey parts. Can’t wait to see this person in court.

If the serial number is there, it will link to the email because you can’t fly far without activating the drone.

@Bevin
DJI doesn’t give out emails easily, but it might be different this time.

They probably will for this case. No one’s protecting this pilot.

DJI won’t risk being banned in the US. They’ll cooperate here.

A subpoena should work fine to get the info.

You think a subpoena works on a Chinese company?

@Dean
Yes, because DJI has US assets. They won’t risk fines.

Their servers are in China. It’s not that simple.

Courts can fine their US assets until they comply. Companies follow the law to stay in business.

Serial numbers are usually under the top shell. The battery sticker in the photo also has one.

It looks like a DJI Mini 3 Pro based on the sensors and battery size.

If it’s a Mini 3 Pro, the remote ID will confirm the pilot easily.

They can also use GPS data from the drone’s black box to narrow it down.

If they track this pilot, it might help avoid new harsh drone laws.

Agreed. People need to see drone pilots held responsible to avoid restrictions.

There’s a good chance they’ll catch this pilot now.

I heard they already know who it is. Some social media idiot.

This incident might lead to stricter rules for drone owners.
