Hey everyone, just curious if anyone’s ever been flying their drone when suddenly it starts raining? Does it mess with the drone, or cause any long-term problems? I try to avoid it, but it happened to me recently. I managed to get my Air 3 back quickly and wiped it off with a towel. Anyone else have a similar experience?
Do you like pina coladas?

If you like making love at midnight!
In the dunes on the Cape…

Colitis
Funny… I sing penile colitis whenever I hear that song.
I fly in foggy or wet conditions pretty often and haven’t had any issues. Not saying it’s the best idea, but drones seem to handle moisture better than laptops or other gadgets.

Nope. It’s basically a flying computer.

True, but not all computers are the same. Some, like phones, are water resistant. Drones aren’t designed to be underwater, but they often handle rain better than you’d expect. Doesn’t mean you should try it, though.

Would you fly a Mini 4 Pro in the rain? I’m tempted but scared because of water getting into the gimbal, motors, or vents.

I wouldn’t recommend it. Even if some people take the risk, there’s always a chance it’ll go wrong. Drones are durable, but they’re not waterproof.

My Mini 4 is sitting in a pond right now… been there three weeks. Should I give up on it?

If it’s been underwater that long, it’s probably toast, but who knows. Some people have managed to recover theirs even after days underwater. Might be worth a shot to fish it out and see.

How would I even start a claim if it’s lost?
