Had my first full day with the Mini 4 Pro today, and wow, it’s incredible! But at the end of the day, I got too excited and took off inside to show it hovering… yeah, bad idea. It flew slowly into a window sill, freaked out, and fell outside onto the ground. No visible damage, no dents, no marks—everything seems to work fine, at least the basics.
My question is: Can certain features get messed up from a crash like this? And how tough is the Mini 4 Pro overall? How bad of a crash can it actually survive?
Flying indoors isn’t great for GPS drones. Once it catches a GPS signal, it can behave unpredictably. From what you described, it’s probably fine—maybe just replace the props if needed.

Man, I really hope so. Honestly, I’ve lost confidence in flying it now. Any tips on getting that confidence back?

Dude, I did almost the exact same thing with mine—took off inside, and it immediately crashed into my closet door. No damage, no issues since. If the drone had serious damage, you’d see error messages.
Lesson learned: If you want to fly indoors, get a Neo or Avata 2. Otherwise, stick to outdoors with good satellite coverage.

Really appreciate that, man. I’ll definitely keep it outdoors from now on. Thanks again!
I made the same mistake when I got my Mini 4K. Crashed indoors early on, and my gimbal got bent. Thankfully, I had DJI Refresh, and they actually replaced it for free after inspecting it.
If you’re really worried, maybe reach out to DJI support. But honestly, just keep flying—it’s the only way to get your confidence back. Pick a wide-open area with no obstacles and put in some flight time.
@Ira
Best way to get your confidence back? Take it to a big open park, launch it straight up, get above the trees, and fly around. Just don’t descend until you’re ready to land.
