Exactly what we need here. We just want good landscape shots. All this weight talk is driving me nuts.
@Rory
Haha, I get you. I’m still looking for part-time work, so I’ll have to get certified either way. But thanks for the advice!

Probably real estate. I’m exploring ways to make some extra money, not quite sure yet.
@Lin
If you plan on using it commercially, go ahead and get the Part 107 certification and register your drone. It’s a bit of a hassle, but all it takes is one mistake and you could be in trouble.

I heard a guy flew above 400 feet for a few seconds, and DHS showed up

Probably flew into restricted airspace. That’s a big no-no.
I’m jealous!

I was jealous once too!
When you say certified, do you mean part 107?

Yes, that’s the one.

You don’t need Part 107 for recreational flying. Just take the TRUST test for now!

True, but if you want to start using the drone for work, getting certified is a good idea. TRUST and registration are important.
Thanks for the advice
@Emory
Got it. Thanks again!
Wow, I’m jealous!
That’s a sweet drone! I got the DJI Air 3 last year, and it’s amazing. It takes some time to get used to flying it, and like others said, avoid sports mode. Have fun and good luck!
Welcome and enjoy!

Fly, crash, fly again. It’s all part of drone culture. DJI Care and simulator time are also really helpful.
