Elise Stefanik has been making headlines recently, especially with talks of her being appointed as an ambassador for the UN under Trump’s administration. She has been vocal about her stance on drone legislation, and many believe her policies are anti-drone. Let’s discuss her impact and what this means for the drone industry.
If you’ve ever heard her speak, you might feel your IQ drop.

It’s tough to say who’s worse: her, Elon, or Trump.

Don’t forget RFK. He deserves a spot on that list.
@West
You’re absolutely right.
Looks like Skydio will need to find a new ally in the House to push their agenda and ban DJI. That might be the only silver lining here.

Skydio doesn’t even need to push anymore. The tariffs on Chinese products are effectively a ban. Making a DJI Neo cost $500 while keeping Skydio’s pricing just under that is a win for them.
@Peyton
This is why these policies keep winning—they bank on people not understanding basic economics.

Should I buy a DJI now before the tariffs kick in? I already have a Mini 3 Pro but was considering goggles for FPV.
@Keagan
It might be a good idea. If the ban gets enforced sooner than expected, prices will spike.
You’d think the party claiming to support less government interference wouldn’t meddle so much in drone regulations.

That party only opposes regulations when it benefits the general public. If it’s something their donors profit from, they’re all in.
It’s going to be interesting watching people who voted for Trump realize how his policies negatively affect them.

They’ll never admit it. Fox News will just blame the fallout on Democrats like always.
@Lennon
They’ll also blame immigrants, LGBTQ folks, and anyone who doesn’t fit their narrative.
Maybe putting her at the UN will limit her influence on domestic policies, including her anti-drone stance.
