Flip Delivery Problems

I ordered a Flip as soon as it became available. It shipped out within a day or two and arrived at a customs warehouse in Southern California shortly after. However, it has sat there for two weeks now. DJI then offered me the option to cancel the order or have it reshipped. I chose to have it reshipped, but now it has arrived at a warehouse in Northern California and has been sitting there for another week. Is this normal? This is my first time purchasing a drone from DJI.

With the tariffs, the current situation between the US and DJI, and the congressional bill that aims to blacklist DJI, this has become the new norm for deliveries.

But why is it affecting orders now before the tariffs and bill took effect? How are others in the US managing to get their Flips or other DJI drones?

The bill has actually been under consideration for a while, primarily due to concerns regarding Chinese drones, especially DJI’s products. There’s apprehension that DJI might have ties to the Chinese government, despite being mainly a consumer brand.

Most purchases of DJI products, like the DJI Flip, were either made as pre-orders or bought in-store depending on what’s in stock.
