So I’ve got the Mini 4 Pro and already have the RC2 controller. I’m thinking of getting the Air 3S, but I’m wondering if I’d regret saving money and just getting it with the RC-N3 instead of another RC2. I won’t be flying both drones at the same time, so is it okay to just switch them back and forth?
Also—is it true you can pair multiple controllers with one drone or is that more trouble than it’s worth?
Yeah it’s pretty simple to switch between drones using one controller. Plus having the RC-N3 around can actually be handy—you can hook it up to a bigger screen like a tablet, stream at higher quality, or run third-party apps. Might end up using both depending on the situation.
I actually did something similar, just in the other direction. Got the Air 3S Fly More Combo with RC2, then later grabbed the Mini 4 Pro bundle that came with the RC-N2. If I hadn’t done that, I would’ve done exactly what you’re thinking—buy the Mini 4 Pro Fly More with RC2 and the Air 3S Fly More with the RC-N3.
Saves you around $200, gives you a backup controller just in case, and lets you mix things up a little depending on your flying style.
I’ve been debating the same thing. For $200 extra it’s tempting to just get another RC2, especially since buying it alone is like $349. I’m still not sure though—have you figured out where you’re gonna buy the Air 3S from?
