Thinking about getting the Osmo Action 4, but since it’s getting older and there are rumors of an Osmo Action 6 dropping in Q4 2025, I’m not sure if it’s still a good buy.
I found a brand-new Osmo Action 4 (Standard) for $196 here in the Philippines.
Is this a steal at that price, or should I wait for the newer model?

The Action 4 is still a solid camera, and at that price, it’s a great deal.
The real question is—do you need a camera now or are you okay waiting until the end of the year?
If you want something before summer, get the 4. If you can wait, hold off and see how the 6 turns out. By then, the 4 might be even cheaper, or the 6 might be worth the upgrade.
Either way, you can’t go wrong.
Bought the Action 4 when it first came out—great little action camera, super durable and easy to use.
When the Action 5 Pro launched, the price of the 4 dropped a lot. If you’re looking for the best value-for-money action cam, nothing beats it at this price right now. I’d say go for it.

Nope, it’s a legit platform here in the Philippines. Kind of like our version of Amazon.

Aliexpress isn’t really an Amazon equivalent. If anything, it’s more of a competitor.
But if the seller has good reviews and the platform is trustworthy, then maybe it’s worth considering.

HOLY SH*T, Q4 is still 9 months away!
Unless you’re some hardcore extreme sports athlete who needs the absolute best, just get the Action 4. It’s still going to handle 90% of what most people use action cams for.
