How long do I have to activate Care Refresh... anyone know?

I just got a Mini 4 Pro from Adorama and also purchased a 2-year Care Refresh. The drone shipped fine, but the Care Refresh is listed as ‘back-ordered’ until March. Am I right in thinking I only have 48 hours after activation to apply the Care Refresh? Should I just ask for a refund and buy it directly from DJI instead?

Yeah, it’s 48 hours from activation. If you don’t want the drone just sitting unopened until March, I’d definitely cancel the Care Refresh and grab it straight from DJI.

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Leaving it in the box for months sounds like a terrible idea!

Thanks for confirming! I’ll just grab it directly from DJI and try to get my money back from Adorama tomorrow.

This doesn’t make much sense to me. The drone shipped fine, but the Care Refresh is back-ordered? When I ordered my Mini 4 Pro Fly More package last week, I got the drone today and an email with the Care Refresh code the same day I ordered.

Here’s what my email said:

"Hi Scott, here is the activation code for your purchase.

Item Number: DJIM4PRO2YR - DJI Care Refresh 2-Year Plan for Mini 4 Pro Drone."

How can something like that even go out of stock? :thinking: Did you check your email to see if there’s an activation code in there? I had no customs issues or fees ordering through Adorama, so I’m glad I didn’t go directly with DJI. Let me know what you find out!

I double-checked, and there’s no email from them about an activation code. It’s super strange that something like this would be back-ordered. I might call them today and see what’s going on.

This whole thing is so odd. I compared your order to mine, and it’s literally the exact same package. If Adorama can’t explain it, I’d just get it from DJI to be safe.

Honestly, I didn’t want to take any chances, so I ordered it directly from DJI last night. Of course, this probably means Adorama will reach out today, just to mess with me! Lol.

I have an Osmo 5, and we didn’t activate Care Refresh within 48 hours either. It was actually weeks later when we realized. We reached out to DJI through the Mimo app, sent a dated video clip to prove it was still working, and they activated it for us.
