How to get authorization to fly a 249g drone in a 0ft grid?

I’m a 21-year-old civilian who recently bought a recreational drone weighing under 250 grams. The issue I’m facing is that flying it in my backyard or around my house isn’t authorized, but just 0.1 miles (815 ft) to the east, there’s LAANC approval up to 200/300 feet. I’m wondering if there’s a way to get permission to fly my drone near my home, up to that 200/300-foot limit, as allowed just a little east of my house. I happen to fall into an area that isn’t approved, as seen in the map. I’d love to be able to fly it in my backyard. The yellow shading indicates the area where I’d like to get approval.

I’m open to applying for COAs or NOTAMs to legally fly a small mini drone around my home instead of having to drive elsewhere each time. Does anyone know how I can get approval to fly in my backyard or around my house? I know I can drive 5 minutes away and fly up to 400 feet with LAANC, and I do that, but sometimes I just want to fly it at home. I’m curious if anyone has received such approvals and what’s required to get them.

You don’t get approval. You fly it somewhere else. It’s because of the airport.

Just go somewhere else. you will be surprised how boring flying over your house is after about 3 minutes.

Not when u have a naturist site behind your housing estate

You are by Dulles, you can forget that. Also you posted this quesrion elsewhere and got your answer.

Congratulations on your new drone.

If you look to the East and see that Huge establishment - Dulles Airport - You’d have discovered the reason for the 0ft fly zone.

Suggest you to look up, read, and understand the laws and regulations and how they impact you.

Then look up a guy named Peter Akemann and the Fire Fighter Plane. Now you know why you don’t fly in restricted zones and need to stay away.

Go find a football field or something near your house that has no restrictions to practice.

Don’t ruin it for the rest of us. Learn the law and take facts as truth. You’ve asked elsewhere and didn’t listen.

Move

Are you part 107? If not, thats where your journey ends. You cannot fly in a zero grid without a waiver and you cannot file for a waiver unless you are part 107.

You can always try to make an application. I’m sure you’ll get authorization for that day that there are no flights out of Dulles!

Only a commercial pilot with insurance and a reason is going to get a permit to fly that close to an airport…

@Gale
I’m not arguing that, but when was the last time that there were no flights into or out of Dulles?

My point was; OP is not getting that permit.

Haha, considering OPs questions, you gotta clarify or they take it literally xD

I mean there are warnings and links on the Drone packaging to tell you to read the rules and regulations where you are… yet here we are with the same question everyday xD

OP doesn’t even have Geofencing to blame anymore lmao
