If you’re on the fence about DJI Care Refresh… just do it

My Avata had a rough fall (probably from some hidden prop damage) and lost a propeller. There was also some cosmetic frame damage from that crash and earlier ones. I decided to send it in, and DJI really came through. They sent me a brand-new drone instead of fixing individual parts, even though there was damage to the SD card holder. The whole process took just a week, and they even threw in a water bottle (which was a nice touch, lol).

I did the video verification for my Neo at 3 months old. The process was easy and it was insured quickly.

Can you still do a video verification for an Osmo Pocket 3 that I bought back in September 2024?

@Peyton
For drones, as long as it passes verification, yes. Not sure if they even allow video verification for the Osmo, though.

Can you set up Care Refresh at any time, or do you have to do it within 72 hours of buying a new drone? I’m new to this and bought a second-hand drone (basically brand new condition). Am I still able to sign up?

@Hollis
Usually, it’s within 72 hours, but they do have a video verification process for older drones. Here’s the link to apply (I copied it from their site, so hopefully it works): https://service.dji.com/djicare/customerupload?lang=en

If you have questions, you can email their support team. They were super helpful when I reached out.

@Hollis
I bought a drone off Facebook Marketplace and, strangely enough, when I turned it on, I got a pop-up to buy Care Refresh. I activated it right there without needing to send in any video.

@Hollis
I bought the one-year plan, but they told me I could upgrade or renew another year when it expires. Their virtual assistant should be able to confirm this.

@Hollis
To my knowledge, it’s only available a few days after activation unless you go through the video verification process.

Wait, they’re giving out water bottles now? I want one!

Man, all I got were stickers! Still cool, though. I slapped them on the water bottle I already had… which makes me wonder why I wanted a DJI water bottle in the first place, lol.

Pretty sure you can buy them on the DJI store for like $30.

Did you have any delays at customs? My Air 3S sat in customs for a week.

Nope, I got mine back exactly a week after shipping it out.

Congrats, you’ve probably inspired a bunch of DJI users to crash their drones just to get a free water bottle.

Haha, it’s still a process to send it in and deal with shipping. Plus, I don’t think they always include the water bottle.

Apostrophes must cost extra.

Only $9.99 more!

They never disappoint. I’ve had Care Refresh on my last three drones, and it’s worth every penny. We all have those brain fart moments, no matter how experienced we are. Stuff happens!

got it for my new Air3S they’re absolutely right get if you can theres non reason not to even if you’re a skilled pilot
