(Not sure if this post fits here, sorry if it doesn’t.)
I ordered my first drone from the DJI store online, but customs sent it back to the sender. I don’t see it available in local retail stores right now. DJI says they’ll try to resend it in a few days, but I don’t understand why it would work this time. They mentioned the DOD CMC list as the reason.
Does anyone know what’s going on with this? Thanks for any help.

The issue might be because you’re ordering directly. If you buy it from a local store or one in your country, it’s already been imported.
It seems pretty random. I’ve ordered three drones from DJI recently, and all arrived from Hong Kong in just a few days without any issues. Other people seem to have trouble for no clear reason.
@Valentine
Sam’s Club doesn’t sell DJI drones anymore. Costco has the Mini 4 Pro, but it’s delivery only. A lot of stores might be preparing for a possible ban if Trump comes back.
@Rowe
The 250g limit is for the drone itself, not including packaging. It’s the cutoff for needing FAA registration. I’m not sure if that’s related to customs issues, though. I’m no expert.
