JPEG: Ready-to-share images, but they lose quality with editing.
DNG (RAW): These capture all data from the camera’s sensor, perfect for editing without losing quality. You’ll need software like Adobe Lightroom or Camera Raw to edit and then export to JPEG for sharing.
Congrats on the new drone! Check out YouTube tutorials. Also, keep an eye out for seagulls—they sometimes go after drones. Some people suggest red reflective tape to keep them away.
Try practicing indoors or in an empty basketball court first, then take it outside. Also, I recommend getting a sling for your controller so you can catch the drone by hand if needed. The fly more kit with extra batteries is a good investment too!
The camera settings on drones aren’t as detailed as pro cameras, but the autopilot features make it easy to get cool shots. Try out the quick shots and master shots for some great results!
Everything’s on YouTube for tutorials. If you’re not doing pro work, just stick to auto mode. For pro-quality shots, you’ll need ND filters and specific setups.
Congrats on a great choice! I started with a Mini 2 SE, then moved up to the Mini 4 Pro and haven’t looked back. Look into waypoint flying—it’s super cool for automated shots. I also got DJI goggles, which take flying to the next level. Enjoy the journey!
