Just got an Air 3S drone — what’s next?

I just turned 50 and treated myself to this drone. What should I know? Any tips for a first-time Air 3S owner?

Congrats! It’s a fantastic drone. Just find a local open field and get familiar with it.

Thanks! I tried a short test flight already. I’ll do more tomorrow when I’m more prepared. Seems like it’ll be fun!

@Birch
Be sure to always fly sober. You’ll have better control and safer flights.

Sure thing! I only had a couple beers and stayed close, but I’ll stick to sober flights from now on.

It’s best to fly when you’re clear-headed. Better safe than sorry.

Practice in a wide-open area and keep it below 400 feet. Start slow, get the insurance if you haven’t, and take your time learning.

Good to know. I’ve heard they won’t even start up near airports, but I’ll make sure to double-check everything before flying.

I’d definitely recommend getting DJI’s Care Refresh. It’s a lifesaver if something goes wrong.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll look into it.

This drone is easy to use and perfect for capturing stunning footage. Take it on trips and see what you can create!

Congrats on your Air 3S! There’s a lot to learn—check out tutorials on camera settings, long exposures, and mastershots. Also, be mindful of obstacles and always fly in safe, open areas. It’s a great drone, and you’ll love it once you get the hang of all its features.

Congrats! Enjoy your new drone and remember to register it.

Thank you! I’ll make sure it’s properly registered.

Make sure you fully understand all the safety features and return-to-home functions. The more you know about the drone, the less likely you’ll be to make a costly mistake.

Definitely! I plan to take my time and learn everything I can before I start exploring further.

Manage your batteries carefully. Keep them at storage voltage when not in use and fully charge them right before you fly. Also, give them time to cool down before recharging to ensure they last longer.

@pablo
Thanks for the tip. I’ll take good care of the batteries.

Where did you buy it?

I got it from an online store in Sweden.
