Get DJI Care Refresh if you haven’t already. It’s basically drone insurance—they’ll give you up to two replacements a year, even if it flies away. Just make sure to register it and record a test flight to show everything’s working in case you ever need to claim.
Anxiety is just your brain trying to predict stuff it hasn’t experienced yet. One thing that helps is deliberately testing stuff in a safe way. For example, fly behind a small obstacle in an open field and watch how the signal changes. Try RTH from different distances. See how much battery you use flying out and back. Keep things simple and learn one feature at a time.
No one is born knowing how to fly a drone—just take it slow and keep practicing. You’re not doing anything wrong by being cautious!
If you’re still nervous, get the DJI insurance. I’ve never had to use mine, but it’s great peace of mind and people say it works well.
Just so you know, I started with the original Mavic Mini, which only had one little sensor for landing. The Mini 4 Pro is miles ahead of that—it’s got way more safety features. You’ll grow into it fast.
