Hello everyone, I am about to pull the trigger on a heavier drone. I have the Mini 4 Pro right now and am moving forward with getting my Part 107. I was about to purchase the Air 3S, but for half the price, I can get an Air 3. Is the 70mm lens worth the money? Should I stick with the equipment I have since it’s enough, or go ahead and get an optical zoom? I feel like I will be able to get more shots and flight time. I’ve noticed the Mini 4 Pro just has enough battery to find a great shot, but by then the battery is nearly dead, and I lose the shot. I love the Mini 4 Pro – it’s an amazing drone. But I would like something a bit heavier with optical zoom. I wonder if the Air 3S would be a great fit. TIA! I always get some great perspectives on here.
I bought the Air 3S as my first drone, and the image quality is astonishing.
No consumer DJI drones have optical zoom yet, but maybe even wait on the Mavic 4 and see how that turns out. Otherwise, the Air 3S now sounds fine.

I think he means a tele lens.
@Sparrow
Maybe, but optical zoom and telephoto are really different, so yeah.

Yeah, a lot of people make that mistake. They call the 7x lens a zoom lens instead of a telephoto lens.
@Sparrow
Definitely. It gets annoying by this point, but you just assume the ‘zoom lens’ is either 3x or 7x.
