Imagine if that had landed on someone… tighter rules wouldn’t be a bad idea.
Did it still have all the propellers when you picked it up? Could’ve lost one mid-flight.

Yeah, all the props were intact. Good thought though.
Could it have been a strobe light that came loose? I always check my Velcro before takeoff just in case.
Looks like a bird strike to me.
Something definitely hit it.
How high were you flying? That looks pretty high up.
Honestly, I think you hit a building. A quick search shows a huge building near there. Depth perception can be tricky at night.
Dude hits a building, battery on fire, drone in the street, and wonders about the warranty… classic.
Another newbie making it harder for the rest of us. If it falls on someone’s head, it’ll be all over the news, and we’ll see stricter rules. And all you’re worried about is the warranty?
You can fly in crowded areas? Didn’t know that!
Weird. Maybe a battery malfunction caused it to lose power mid-flight?

It’s possible. The battery was smoking like one of those subway vents in NYC. It was melted into the street, and when I tried putting it in a cup, it reignited.
Man, this has me worried mine might just fall out of the sky too.

I get paranoid too. Not sure if it’s just user error or if they really just drop sometimes.

Wonder if birds are drawn to the lights? That could explain some unexpected crashes.
