Osmo Action 4 for €190 or Action 5 for €300? Need Advice!

Trying to decide between these two—both are brand new. Is the extra €110 for the Action 5 really worth it?

I was in the same spot a month ago. Ended up going with the Action 4—best specs for the price.

The only real differences with the 5 are subject tracking and a slightly better battery, but neither justifies spending €110 more, at least for me.

@Payton
Fun fact—the new Action 5 batteries also work in the Action 4. So if you get extras, grab the newer ones. :wink:

@Payton
If I go with the Action 4, I can also get the Pocket 3 for €470. :thinking:

100% go with that combo over just getting the Action 5. The Pocket 3 is a beast in its own right!

Just got the Action 4 adventure pack from Amazon Warehouse for £100 less than the Action 5 alone. From my research, the 5 isn’t worth the extra cost unless you really want a more saturated color profile in your videos.

@AvaAeroWhisper
I can grab the Action 4 adventure pack for €210. Seems like a solid deal.

Still rocking the Action 3, and it does everything I need. No point in upgrading unless you need something specific for pro-level video.

Action 4 all the way! Great camera. That said, I might end up getting the 5 soon just for the diving overlay metrics. :grimacing:

Do you already have the 5? Just wondering because the Action 6 is coming soon.

@Wendell
Nope, but thinking about pulling the trigger soon. I heard rumors of a new Action cam dropping in Feb or March. Is that going to be a ‘Pro’ version or something else? No clue yet.

Yeah, that’s the Action 6. Not sure if they’ll call it ‘Pro,’ but it’s supposed to improve on the weak points of the 5.

If you’ve got the budget, the Action 5 is solid. Just depends on if the extra features matter to you.

Go for the 5 Pro.
