**PSA:** Avoid flying your drone over fires, firefighters, police chases, or any emergency situations (see attached screenshot)

They don’t cancel helicopter flights due to seagulls, hawks, vultures and pigeons flying over an area. You really think a sub 250 gram drone is any more of threat? If so, keep licking the boot of authority clean. Spit shine that shit.

Exactly! This idiocy is just fear mongering hype.

According to the standard operating procedures of many departments across the U.S. and the article I linked, yes, it is.

how about according to physics and reality?

There is a big difference between a soft object and metal or plastic. While blades can slice through a bird with minimal damage, a drone could actually damage the blades if struck, potentially causing the helicopter to crash.

How can you not understand that a helicopter pilot is required to land if there’s a drone flying? It doesn’t matter what would cause more damage; what matters is following the regulations.

Of course the helicopter pilot must follow the regs…We’re saying the regulations are moronic. No conprende?

So how is anyone a boot licker for telling you not to ground emergency flights?

Hahaa, How old are you?

So, the $60,000 in damage a drone caused to a helicopter isn’t enough reason for you? You guys are out of your minds.
