What if we had something like a launch glove or a hat with a little helipad on top? Sounds ridiculous, but maybe it could work!

As long as the boat isn’t moving too much, it should be fine. Just make sure to update your home point regularly.
I 3D-printed landing skids for my Mini 2, and they’ve been surprisingly useful in tall grass and uneven terrain. They’re not pretty, but they work well for unexpected landings.
Hand catching is a great alternative. My Mini 4 Pro lands perfectly on my hand every time. It’s quick and easy once you get used to it.
On a boat, I use a catch net. Hover over it, cut the motors, and let the drone fall into the net. Safer than trying to hand catch a bigger drone.
