Strange UAV NOTAM from NYC to the Gulf of Guinea… Why?

So, there’s a weird UAV NOTAM that’s set from NYC all the way to the Gulf of Guinea. Does anyone have any idea why something like this would be in place? Just curious.

Could someone have just made a mistake while putting in the coordinates or something?

Maybe they left out a coordinate. The Gulf of Guinea is at 0°N, 0°W.

Yeah, that’s probably what happened.

That’s where Colonel Bleep, Squeek, and Scratch lived! Zero Zero Island! Anyone else remember that show? :slightly_smiling_face:

Totally agree.

The restricted area is 1 mile wide from the ground up to 400 feet. I’m just wondering if there are UAVs that could fly to Africa and back at this low altitude?

Since the coordinates point to 0°N, 0°W, it looks like someone made a mistake while inputting the data.

Could it be a ground effect wing flight? It’s not a common profile, but it might fit… if you swap ‘useful’ with ‘interesting’!

Is this related to Air Force One?

Air Force One doesn’t issue NOTAMs en-route, isn’t a UAV, and flies way higher than that.

Maybe Biden’s playing with the latest military toys!
