Are warning or enhanced warning zones legal to fly in? Do I need a permit? Are they just warnings for wind or something?
Since no one else has answered yet: DJI maintains a database of no-fly zones and other areas that might need permits. The most common case is around airports, where flying is a huge no-no. However, these zones are just a convenience, and they might not always be accurate or current. It’s your job as the pilot to check the laws and follow them. Those laws can vary a lot depending on where you plan to fly. Don’t blindly trust the DJI zones; take time to review the regulations for the areas you want to fly in to see if permits are needed.

Definitely the first question that needs answering.
You should check the restricted zones for your country on an official map. The DJI app shows you zones, but often has inaccurate details or may lack information altogether. For example, where I live, there’s an airport with a big enhanced warning zone around it on the DJI app, but it doesn’t apply to drones under 250g.
There’s also a setting in your app to see all aircraft in your area and their elevation. Set it to low to see everything around you.
Dude, if you don’t know this, maybe you shouldn’t be flying a drone.

We all gotta start somewhere . The person who posted this should definitely do more research on these things, but still.
@Levi
True, that’s why I posted my answer a few comments down.

That’s why he’s asking. Because he doesn’t know. What kind of logic is that?

DJI Warning Zones have nothing to do with actual regulations. It’s a fair question.

That’s blatantly incorrect.
According to the documentation: An Enhanced Warning Zone is a circular area that expands 2 km outward from the boundary of an Authorization Zone. When a drone approaches this area from the outside, the DJI GO app will issue a warning. Users must then confirm their choice to continue flying.
@Tilden
Authorization zones also don’t relate to actual regulations.
