Thinking of Selling My Air 3 Fly More… What’s a Fair Price?

Got this last year as a gift, but I just don’t use it enough. Maybe 5 hours of total flight time? Props from the second and third set are still sealed, no crashes or damage, and I even kept the original box.

I don’t really have the time or interest in making videos and editing, and keeping it just for the occasional flight seems pointless.

Also including a 256GB SanDisk Extreme SD card, though I doubt that adds much to the value.

What would be a good price to list it for?

Before selling, make sure to unbind your DJI account and do a factory reset. That way, your personal data stays secure.

As for price, I’d say somewhere between $1,000-$1,100 would be fair.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I’d like to make sure everything is ready for the next owner well in advance.

@Ashton
Most buyers will want to see it fly before they buy, so don’t factory reset it until you actually sell it.

Good call, I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks!

I wouldn’t let it go for less than $1,000, but not sure how many buyers would bite at that price.

Since it was a gift and you’re not attached to it, listing it for $700-$800 will probably get you a ton of offers. That would be a steal for the buyer.

Does it have the RC2 or RCN2 controller?

I just sold my Fly More combo with RC2, plus some Freewell and PolarPro ND filters, for $850. Got tons of lowball offers around $600 though. Mine also had just a few hours of flight time.

@Poe
Pretty sure it’s the RC2, the one with the built-in screen so you don’t need a phone.

Also, where do I check total flight time? I feel like buyers would want to see that, so I should probably include it in my listing.

@Ashton
To check your flight logs, power on the controller, go to the home screen, then tap on your profile. Once that screen opens, there’s a ‘More’ button on the bottom left—tap that, and there’s your flight time.

I’ve been looking at the Air 3 as an option. If you decide on a price, feel free to PM me and we can talk!

Since DJI sells it for around $1,100 and the new Air 3S is coming out soon, I’d say $850 is a good price.

Also, sell it yourself—if you go through eBay, they’ll take like $150-$200 in fees.

Yeah, I was planning to sell it on my own anyway. Appreciate the advice!
