I’m looking to buy a Mini 4 Pro, but it’s been out of stock on DJI’s website for a while. Best Buy only has refurbished ones, and they’re priced the same as a brand-new one from DJI.
Is it worth waiting for restocks, or is a refurbished unit a safe bet? Also, does anyone have an idea of how long DJI takes to restock?
I got a refurbished Avata 2 from Best Buy. It was obvious it had been crashed before, but it still worked perfectly. My guess is the original owner crashed it, got scared, and returned it.
I really wanted one and didn’t want to deal with DJI shipping delays, so I went for it. I was able to get DJI Care Refresh by recording a quick calibration test for DJI Support. If you ever need to use Care Refresh, you just pay a small fee, and they usually send a replacement.
Your experience may vary, but I love my Avata 2 and my Mini 4 Pro. I got the Mini 4 Pro Fly More Combo new at Best Buy.
Stock has been low ever since customs restrictions on drones got tighter a few months back. Most stores are struggling to keep inventory.
Like someone said, Costco might still have the Mini 4 Pro bundle. If that doesn’t work, check eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or Mercari—sometimes you can find new or like-new ones. If you’re new to Mercari, DM me, and I can send a $10 off invite link.
I bought mine on eBay—paid about $100 more, but it was brand new, and I had a 30-day return window. I added DJI Care as soon as I got it. The seller was buydig, and they had tons of good reviews.
Walmart also has some, but they didn’t have the bundle I wanted.
