Am I missing something here? Why can’t DJI provide clear specs for the microSD card? They only mention a max storage of 1TB and list some ‘recommended’ cards, but their specs seem to vary. I don’t want to limit my camera’s capabilities with the wrong card.
The short answer is that they have cards they tested to ensure they work properly. If they claim something else and it doesn’t work, they could be held responsible.
Some cards might operate at lower storage capacities, but larger cards might not have the right write speeds.
Others may have high storage but are low quality and can fail quickly.
Some cards can’t handle multiple read/writes, leading to failure over time.
And keep an eye out for fake cards. There’s a lot to consider, but the short answer really focuses on the main issue.

I still feel like I’m missing something. Why can’t they just share the required specs? Someone could easily end up with a fake version of any card, even one from their recommendations. If it meets the standards, buying a genuine card from a trusted brand should work fine. For instance, I believe two cards of the same spec from the same maker shouldn’t perform differently in the long run.

Also, thanks for the reply!
If you could break down the details more, that would really help me understand your point!
