Vegas is really easy to pick up. I still prefer it over other editors, even though I have to use Premiere for work. Vegas just feels faster to use.
LightCut is a great option, especially for beginners. You can even use it on your phone or tablet.
If you’re on Windows, check out ClipChamp. It’s simple and effective.
iMovie, CapCut, or VN are all good choices for beginners.

If you’re on macOS, I recommend iMovie. It’s super fast when exporting 4K videos.
I use InShot on Android. It’s basic but does the job!
Download LightCut from DJI. It’s free and does a lot for a simple editor.
For beginners, Filmora is probably the best. DaVinci Resolve is great but more suited for advanced users who need professional tools.
Shotcut is free and not too hard to use. I still miss the simplicity of Windows Live Movie Maker though. That was so easy.
I use Premiere Pro. It can seem difficult at first, but once you watch a few tutorials, it gets easier. There’s tons of help out there to get you started, and once you’re comfortable, it becomes smooth to use.
For phone editing, DJI Fly, CapCut, and LightCut are all great apps.
I use Luma Fusion on my iPad. It’s awesome, but I don’t have a PC or Mac, so that’s why I stick with it.
I’m using Magix. It’s really beginner-friendly. Just watch a couple of their tutorials, and you’ll be up and running in no time.
I use KdenLive. It’s free, open-source, and has a lot of great features.
Honestly, the video editor on your phone is super powerful for beginners. Don’t overlook it!
I use VLLO for quick edits.
