I tried to get some photos of my dogs with my drone. Let’s just say it didn’t end well!
I’ve got a dog like that. She looks at my drone the same way she looks at a frisbee. That’s why I never fly it near her!
Oh man, this reminds me of the time my partner’s daughter took their three dogs for a walk. I thought it’d be cool to get some drone footage, so I launched it.
The big dog and the little dog were startled for a second, but they went back to focusing on the person holding food.
The medium dog? Completely lost it.
He went into full panic mode—barking like crazy, jumping, and acting like the drone was about to destroy us all. I figured, “I’ll just fly it higher, about 15 feet off the ground, and he’ll give up.” Nope.
Even when we were a few hundred yards away, he was still jumping and barking like his life depended on it. I ended up having to bring the drone down and hand-land it while he acted like the apocalypse had arrived.
Some dogs don’t care about drones. Other dogs? They care way too much.

Lol, that sounds so familiar!
I learned the hard way just how high a staffy can jump. Both my drone and the dog got a bit banged up. Thankfully my drone’s metal frame saved it.

Yeah, my dogs catch low-flying birds. Their jumping skills are way better than most people realize!
