What would be a good gift for someone really into drones?

That actually sounds really neat — how do I know which filters will work with his drone?

Just figure out the exact drone model. That’ll narrow it down quick. Tiffen and PolarPro are good brands. DJI makes some too — a little pricey but you know they’ll fit.

A drone flight class or editing course would be a super useful gift!

It’s bird nesting season — maybe get him some drone insurance

A basecap.

What’s that?

How much are you thinking of spending? If it’s not too much, I really like landing pads. Might sound goofy but they’re useful.

Insurance

CPL or ND filters, or maybe a nice camera backpack. Mine cost £50 and looks super pro.

Batteries are always a smart pick — more flying time is always good. But yeah, maybe ask what he’s still missing.

If he’s getting serious, maybe gift him a Part 107 training course (like the one King offers). He’ll need a license if he wants to sell footage someday.

My wife got me a battery case and a spare battery — perfect combo for my birthday.

You could also look at a carry case, spare props, SD cards, or extra charging options if he flies in the field.

Looks like he already has the 3-battery charger, a hard case, and a landing mat, so I’ll cross those off.

Batteries first. Then props.

Dude, what?

If he’s into customizing stuff, a wrap kit can make his drone look really cool.

SD cards — can’t go wrong there. Just make sure they can handle 4K video.

Here’s a few ideas: A cool carrying case for all his drone equipment, a daytime/nighttime reflecting landing pad, a screen shield & cover for his remote screen, lanyard for remote, extra/newer cooler thumb toggles, extra propellers, night time drone lights, ND filters, drone airline fish bait dropper (if he’s a fisherman), DJI mini microphone kit.
