When you upgrade your drone… do you keep the old one or sell it?

I just got the Mini 4 Pro and haven’t touched my old Mini 4K since. It’s just sitting there collecting dust. Do you guys usually hold onto your older drones, or is it better to sell them?

I wouldn’t sell it. Older drones are great for risky shots where you don’t want to wreck your newer one.

Exactly! You need a backup for the crazy stuff.

I always sell mine. Started with a Mini 3 Pro, sold it after a year, got an Air 3, and then upgraded to an Air 3S. I don’t see the point in keeping multiple drones.

That works if you sell it quickly. My Mini 2 is so old now that selling it wouldn’t get me much. Not worth it.

True, some drones lose value fast. I tried selling my older FPV setup with a GoPro, but people didn’t want it without the controller and goggles. Sometimes it’s better to just keep them as backups.

I always trade in or sell when upgrading. No point keeping old ones around to collect dust. Someone else could use it.

I jump between different models for fun. Started with a Mini, moved to an Air 2S, then a Mini 3 Pro. Next might be an Avata.

If you travel internationally, it’s good to keep a cheaper drone for trips.

I sell and upgrade. Started with a Tello, then moved up to a Mavic Mini, Air 2, and now a Mavic 3.

I only buy new drones when my old one gets lost.

Something flashy with lights and all the cool features.

I keep older ones for less restrictive areas, but I’ll sell my Mavic 3 Pro when the Mavic 4 drops.

I keep mine as backups or lend them out to friends when I can’t take on extra work.
