Where Can I Find Drone Professionals to Test My AI Drone Data Platform?

Since many subreddits don’t allow direct recruitment for beta testers, I’m looking for other ways to connect with experienced drone operators. Where could I find a large pool of professionals willing to test and provide feedback on my drone data analysis platform?

What does your app do?

It provides object classification/detection and allows users to extract information from images, videos, and orthomosaics using natural language prompts. You can search for things like ‘house with solar panels,’ ‘road crack,’ ‘person,’ or ‘pickup truck transporting yellow boxes.’ The system then highlights the object in the image/video and provides metadata, including GPS location, area, and object count.

Great idea!

I have eight years’ worth of drone maps and process all my own data locally. DM me if you’re interested in testing with real-world datasets.

Just did!

What do you need drone operators (like me) to do?

Edit: I’m a Part 107 operator, so no legal concerns if I assist.

First, I’d love to learn about your typical use cases. What tools do you currently use for data analysis, and how much time do you spend analyzing the data you collect? Understanding your workflow would be valuable.

Second, if you’re interested, I’d like to grant you beta access to the platform so you can test it and provide feedback on how we can improve it for professional use.

I mostly just take pictures and videos, so I might not be the best fit for testing this. You’ll probably want to reach out to operators who handle more complex data processing.

DM me—I’ve developed some interesting drone tech and would love to compare notes.

DM sent!

I’m building Arkensight, a cloud-based AI platform for drone data analysis using natural language queries. Users can classify and detect objects, extracting useful insights from images, videos, and orthomosaics.

We recently launched our beta and are looking for drone professionals in civilian, industrial, and commercial sectors to test it out. If you’re interested, you can sign up here: Google Form

The main goal is to refine the platform based on real-world feedback, so any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Would recreational pilots be able to participate? I’m currently studying for my Part 107 certification but I mostly fly as a hobbyist.

Yes! Feel free to sign up using the form above.

Thanks! Just signed up.

Interesting idea! Would this be useful for spray drone operators? For example, could it stitch images into an orthomosaic, map field boundaries, and automatically detect obstacles like trees for the drone to avoid?

Right now, I manually do this in Pix4D, and an automated system would save a lot of time.
