450USD Combo – My First Drone!

Just got myself a drone for $450 as a birthday gift! It’s super tough – feels like the Nokia of drones. Excited to start this new hobby!

Where did you buy the combo for $450? I can’t find it anywhere.

It seems the fly motion combo isn’t available in all countries. You might need to check if you can buy it elsewhere and have it shipped.

Same here. It doesn’t look like US retailers have it yet.

Congrats! I’m getting my goggles N3 today with my Avata 2 to compare with my Neo for FPV. The controller comes tomorrow—went with the FPV remote instead of the motion controller.

I’m picking mine up tomorrow, but it’s a Christmas gift, so I have to wait. :frowning:

@Jamie
It’s worth the wait! Enjoy it!

Flying the Avata in full manual mode is amazing. So much faster and agile than regular mode or with the motion controller. But seriously, get DJI Care. I’ve already gone through two Avatas.

I think the remote is great for better control and training! My ideal combo would be goggles N3 + the remote, but DJI makes sure we buy the motion controller too. Clever marketing!

$450?! HOW?

Black Friday deal!

Congrats! My first drone was a cheap one that made me think all drones were like that until I got a real drone.

Thanks! It’s crazy how affordable good drones have become. I can’t believe I have something this durable (survived a 100m fall!) and functional at this price.

That’s going to be a lot of fun. Enjoy!

The goggles are so uncomfortable on my nose.

They work fine for me, and I love that they accommodate prescription glasses, which is essential for me.

Good for you. When I spent $1,700 on mine, I expected better quality.

@Rowan
$1,700 goggles?! Mine were $200 as part of the combo deal.

Could you update later on whether it was a mistake getting this combo? I’m torn between this and the one with the typical controllers.

I’d recommend the combo—it comes with extra batteries, a charging hub, and your choice of controllers (FPV or remote). It’s all about deciding which experience you’re going for. Personally, goggles + remote is ideal, but DJI knows how to make us buy more!
