It’s wild that people even thought the seller might be legit.

Right? I can’t believe some folks thought there was any chance they’d get anything. It’s scams like this that thrive because people are too trusting. It’s kind of sad.
@Sam
I knew it was basically a zero chance of getting the drone, but I figured it was worth a shot. I had $70 to risk, and in the end, I didn’t actually lose anything.

Tried the same and didn’t gain anything either.

I’d have done the same thing.

There was no ‘basically zero’ chance. It was zero. No one was ever going to get anything. People like this keep scammers going, and it’s just sad to see.
@Sam
But how did I help them? They didn’t get my money. Amazon took their store down, so if anything, it probably sped up Amazon’s investigation and got them shut down faster.

You helped because they’ll keep trying. People placing these ‘why not?’ orders give them hope that enough suckers exist to keep scamming.
@Brett
How did they get any money, though? They didn’t ship anything or mark anything as shipped, so they didn’t get paid.

Trust me, as someone who sells on Amazon, it’s possible to scam and get paid before Amazon catches on. They might not have succeeded here, but it’s part of the scam cycle.
@Brett
Well, clearly they didn’t pull it off this time.

Exactly. Did anyone really think DJI was selling Mini 2s for $70? That’s like saying I’m selling a brand-new Porsche for $20k. Come on, people.
Honestly, I thought you might get something, just not a drone.

Honestly, I’d have accepted some random 2-inch “adult toy” just for the laughs .
Tried similar deals before. Amazon usually catches on and cancels them.
This was obviously a scam. Did anyone actually believe it might be legit?

You’re not allowed to state the obvious here, apparently.

The fact that people downvote common sense blows my mind. It’s like they’re waiting for a Nigerian prince to send them millions.
Thanks for the update!
