Hey everyone, I’m Part 107 certified, but I haven’t picked up drone insurance yet. I’m making a good hourly rate, but I’m only working part-time by choice, so I’m not exactly rolling in cash.
I’m looking for something affordable that still offers decent coverage. Would love to hear from anyone who’s happy with their price and insurance. Thanks in advance!
I’m with Hartford. It’s $75 a month, and it covers everything related to my business, not just the drone.
Whatever you do, don’t fly without insurance again. If there’s an accident and someone gets hurt or something gets damaged, you’ll have to handle the liability. Plus, the FAA could step in, and if they find any issues, there could be legal trouble. Eventually, all drones face some kind of failure, so it’s best to be prepared.
SkyWatch.AI is a good option. It’s on-demand, so you only pay for coverage when you’re actually working. You can also easily add extra coverage if you need it for commercial jobs.

I agree with this. I was using another service that billed hourly, but they stopped offering it. Switched to SkyWatch, and now I’m on their monthly plan.

Same here. I recently switched to their monthly premium plan, and it’s been smooth so far.
