Just wanted to start a discussion about the Air 3 and Air 3S. Anyone here already flying these drones? I’m curious about any real-world differences, especially with video quality and battery life. Share your thoughts!
Anyone selling an RC2 controller? I’ve got three already but I feel like I need another one.
Nice! Let’s see some comparison shots between the two.
Do the Air 3 and Air 3S use the same batteries?

Yes, but if you’re using the Air 3S with its battery, you can transfer data without turning on the drone. That’s not possible with the Air 3.

The batteries are pretty much the same.

Yeah, they work with both drones. The Air 3S battery is 20g lighter and has a bit more capacity, though.
Is it worth upgrading to the Air 3S if I already have the Air 3?

Probably not, unless you do a lot of flying in low light conditions.

Yeah, I’m just waiting for the Mavic 4 to drop. Should be out before Christmas.

I wouldn’t bother. I thought about upgrading from my Air 2S (almost 3 years old) to the Air 3S but decided to wait. I’ll probably go for the Mavic 3 once the Mavic 4 comes out. The Air 3S isn’t as much of an upgrade as the Air 2S was over the Air 2. It’s not in the same league as the Mavic 3, either.
Do the Air 3 and Air 3S have the same body design? I’ve got a custom mount for strobe lights on the arms, and I’d rather not make a new one.
Can someone do a side-by-side video comparison to settle this whole bitrate debate? Maybe film waves at the beach or some confetti falling… something with lots of small moving details.
