I’ve had my Air 3s for a few months, and now one of the batteries is totally dead. When I try to charge it, it just shows a solid red light. From what I understand, it should still be under warranty… but how or where do I actually start a claim? I tried in the app, but I only see options for the drone itself, not the battery or accessories.
It’s dead, Jim.
Yup, it’s dead.
Did you try this?
I’ve done this a few times. Use that link since there’s nothing specific for batteries or accessories.
I’ve gone through 2 docks and 7 batteries with charging issues so far. It’s been wild. DJI seems clueless and just keeps sending replacements. I wish I could share videos here of what happens. The docks suddenly stop charging even though the DJI 100W power supply pushes out 104W sometimes. Or the batteries start and stop charging randomly. I even bought a power regulator to make sure our house power wasn’t the problem—it wasn’t. No issues with my Mavic 4 dock or batteries, so definitely not us.
What power supply are you using?
I switched to the DJI 65W charger and it’s been working fine so far
I use a 140W charging block with a matching USB cable. Most of the time, unplugging and plugging back in fixes it. If that doesn’t work, I charge the battery by putting it in the drone. It’s a quick fix, but they really need to fix this for good.
That’s scary. Hope this doesn’t happen to my batteries
Never had problems here, but I usually charge them overnight on low watt settings. Maybe we shouldn’t fast charge every time…
