Air 3S Fly More Combo (DJI RC 2) Sold Out - Mini 4 Pro or Air 3 Instead?

I’m a commercial real estate broker looking to upgrade from my old, now broken DJI drone.

I often fly in low to moderate wind conditions and need something durable and comfortable. I don’t care much about portability, and 98% of my usage is in suburban areas.

I had decided on the DJI Air 3S Fly More Combo (DJI RC 2) after a lot of research, but when I tried to buy it, it was out of stock. It seems like getting the Air 3S is now tough, and some retailers aren’t selling it anymore.

I’m not aiming for cinematic-level shots, just good quality photos and videos of buildings.

Any suggestions?

I was set on the Air 3S combo as an upgrade from my 2S, but I found the Mavic 3 Pro combo on sale for $1699 on WOOT the other day, so I went with that instead. I know an upgrade is coming soon, but this fits my needs perfectly.

Dude, how did I miss this deal?

Adorama might have some in stock, depending on the version you’re looking for. Not sure where you’re located, but it’s a reputable site.

The Mini 4 Pro would work well for your needs. If you’re only doing exterior shots, the 24mm lens is more than enough. You could even do some cool master shots too.

If you’re set on the 70mm focal length, the Air 3 would still be a good fit. Since most buildings are static, you probably don’t need the advanced tracking features. The only potential benefit of the Air 3 is the LiDAR and slightly better low-light performance, but for real estate, it wouldn’t be a huge upgrade.

If you’re filming indoors or outdoors, you might want to look into a cine FPV drone. Something like the Geprc, Flywoo, Cinelog 30 V3, or Flylens 85. They all use the DJI O4 Pro. They’re small, durable, and can even bounce off things. Plus, you could carry a GoPro if needed. It’ll be a different flying experience, but with practice, you might prefer it. And you can even build your own if you’re into that.

I’ll admit, I don’t fully understand what you mean! I’m going to look it up now.

My old DJI was so bulky I never thought about taking indoor shots, but now I’d like to be able to take high-quality indoor shots.

The main focus will still be aerial shots of properties.

No worries. Go to YouTube and search for ‘real estate shoot with FPV drone.’ It could offer your clients a unique remote walkthrough experience, different from a 360 camera.
