The deal was too good to pass up, so I went for it. It should be delivered by November 21st. Paid $1822 for it (US), which includes a 2-year DJI Care Refresh and two 128GB SD cards. I wanted to add the wide-angle lens and low-noise props, but they weren’t available.
Hope you meant 128GB, not MB! You’d run out of space real quick with MB cards, haha.

Oops… Yeah, I was multitasking. Thanks for catching that!
I went all out this time. I’ve been eyeing the RC2 for a while. Check it out:
It’s supposed to ship tomorrow.

Mine’s estimated to arrive by the 19th.
@rahabjaden
I haven’t gotten a specific arrival date yet, but I do have a DHL Express tracking number. It’s shipping straight from China to California. I’m hoping it arrives before the weekend.

Same here! I ordered my RC2 Fly More combo at 9:15 am EST, got tracking info about 6 hours later. Also shipping via DHL from China. I’m in Ohio, so I’m curious to see the estimated arrival date.

Looks like some of us might get our packages sooner than expected!

Can I add the DJI Care Refresh package after it arrives, or does it have to be done at the time of purchase? Is it worth it?
@Case
Definitely worth it. It doesn’t cover theft, but the replacement fees are pretty reasonable. The Flyaway fee is about half the cost of a new drone, so it’s a smart move.
@Case
You have 48 hours after you first turn on, pair, and register the drone to add it.

Actually, you can add it at any time, even years later. You just need to submit a video to customer service.

I’ve heard mixed things about the timeline for adding it, so I’d double-check with DJI to be sure.
@Case
I’m pretty sure you have to add it within a certain number of days or hours after activation. It was worth it for me, though.

If you missed the activation window, you can still add it, but there may be extra steps involved.

Ooooh, I want one too! Enjoy it!

I’m looking forward to seeing how it performs once you get it!
It doesn’t have a variable aperture. You still need to go to the Mavic series for that. But for the price, it’s a great drone. I’m curious about the Free Panorama mode… I wonder if they could add it to older models via a firmware update.
@Nye
I like having aperture control because it helps reduce the need for ND filters that can tint your footage. But I’m not sure how much I’d actually use it on a drone, compared to my photography gear where I always shoot in Aperture Priority mode.
@Tory
Aperture affects focusing too. If you’re shooting landscapes with mountains in the distance, f/8.0 will be sharper than f/1.8. It’s the same as when you shoot a group photo at f/5.6 instead of f/2.8. If you’re just posting on social media, you won’t notice much difference, but it’s important if you’re printing large landscape photos.
